Ingredients
  • 15 ounce can of kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 15 ounce can of black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • juice of one lime
Instructions

    Add the beans, salsa, chili powder, and lime juice to the bowl of a food processor. Puree until smooth.

    If needed, add a slight amount of water to achieve the desired consistency.

    Place the pureed beans in a medium saucepan if desired and warm over low heat until heated through. Alternatively, serve them chilled or at room temperature with your favorite tortilla chips or as a spread on your favorite bread.
