The Cauliflower
  • 1 large head of cauliflower (cut into florets)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or cooking spray)
  • 3/4 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon each, salt, pepper and garlic powder
  • The Buffalo Sauce
  • 1/2 cup hot pepper sauce (like Frank's hot sauce)
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 450° F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Use two baking sheets if necessary.

  2. 2
    The Cauliflower

Chop your cauliflower into florets, then spray or toss the florets with the oil.

  3. 3

In a large bowl, whisk the milk, flour, baking powder, and seasonings to create a smooth batter.

  4. 4

Add the cauliflower florets and gently toss to coat them all, allowing any excess batter to drip off.

  5. 5

Place the cauliflower in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake for 20 to 22 minutes, turning halfway through. Leave a little space between each floret for even cooking.

  6. 6
    The Buffalo Sauce

Combine the hot sauce, vinegar, melted butter, vegan Worcestershire, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Stir until combined and set aside.

  7. 7

Remove the cauliflower from the oven and place each floret into the bowl with the sauce. Gently toss to coat all of the pieces.

  8. 8

Place the coated cauliflower back onto the baking sheet and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes.

  9. 9

Serve hot, warm, or at room temperature along with celery, cucumber, and carrot sticks and our delicious Vegetable Dip.
