Spring has a quiet way of inviting us to begin again.
The air feels lighter, the days grow longer, and suddenly even the smallest changes — a walk outside, fresh flowers on the table, a simple seasonal meal — can feel deeply refreshing. It’s less about dramatic change and more about gently stepping back into a rhythm that feels lighter, brighter, and more alive.

Plant Something
A great way to celebrate spring is to plant spring flowers, start your own vegetable garden, or join a community garden. These can all be rewarding, and we highly recommend any or all of them!
Clean Up Your Space
It’s also an excellent time to start your spring cleaning. Check out Homemade Natural Cleaners For Your Home for a list of safe, natural products that can help you keep your home clean while also keeping it safe from chemicals that could be harmful to you and the environment. Clean out those closets and drawers, and donate all of those unwanted items. Having less clutter around is a great way to clear your mind and help others! We also ran across a fun little book called the Busy Mom’s Guide to Cleaning: The 10-Step Guide to Declutter and Clean All Things the Fast, Natural, Eco-Friendly Way by Vanessa Johnson, which might give you some much-needed inspiration and great ideas for doing just that!
Visit Farmer’s Markets
Also, farmers’ markets are popping up everywhere, and now is a great time to take advantage of the fresh produce and support the local growers in your area. Some great foods you can look forward to this season are artichokes, asparagus, and strawberries. To see what’s in season in your area, just put in your zip code at Eat Well Guide dot Org.
Personal Reflection
Spring is also an excellent time to reflect on where you are in life. Are you doing everything you hoped you would be doing? Do you need more time with friends, more sleep, more exercise, more rest? Are you reaching the goals you’ve set for yourself in health, happiness, family, relationships, career, money, and love? If not, it’s an excellent time to make some adjustments and change things around a bit so that you can start meeting your goals. Journaling is sometimes very helpful. Whether it’s a gratitude journal, a planning journal, or a F*ck It Journal, journaling really can help!
You don’t need a complete reset to welcome a new season. Sometimes, celebrating spring is as simple as opening the windows, choosing fresh foods, spending a little more time outside, or creating some space, both literally and figuratively, for habits that help you feel more grounded and energized.
Small shifts have a quiet way of adding up, and spring is the perfect reminder that growth often begins gently.
Happy spring!
