In a medium saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil. Add the oats and stir until the mixture begins to boil again.

Stir in the banana and chopped nuts, and reduce heat to medium-low. Continue to cook, stirring often, for 3 to 5 minutes more.

Remove the oatmeal from the heat and stir in the cinnamon and maple syrup.Â
Can substitute agave or other sweetener of choice.
