Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil. Add the oats and stir until the mixture begins to boil again.

  1. Stir in the banana and chopped nuts, and reduce heat to medium-low. Continue to cook, stirring often, for 3 to 5 minutes more.

  1. Remove the oatmeal from the heat and stir in the cinnamon and maple syrup. 

    Can substitute agave or other sweetener of choice.
  1. Top with a few slices of banana, a sprinkling of chopped nuts, and additional maple syrup, if desired, for extra sweetness.
