Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and lightly grease a 6X8-inch baking dish (8X8 will work also).
-
In a medium bowl, toss the prepared apples, raisins, granulated sugar, two tablespoons of flour, and half a teaspoon of cinnamon to coat them thoroughly.
-
In a food processor, combine the remaining 3/4 cup of flour, 1/2 cup quick oats, brown sugar, nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, salt, almond extract, and melted butter. Stir or pulse until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle the topping over the apples.
-
Cover with foil and bake for 45 - 50 minutes or until the apples are soft when pierced with a fork. Uncover and cook until the crumble is crisp and golden in color, about ten more minutes.
-
Remove from the oven and cool for ten to fifteen minutes before serving.
-
Serve as breakfast with coffee or tea. Or add non-dairy whipped topping or vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert.
